Dr. Keisuke Hanaki is a Professor at School of Information Networking for Innovation
and Design, Toyo University.
After completed doctoral program at The University of Tokyo (UT) in 1980, he has worked at Tohoku University (1980-1983), Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand (1985-1987), UT (1983 -1985, and 1987 to March 2017) and Toyo University (April 2017 to now). His research field is holistic environmental management in urban area for sustainability. Emission reduction of greenhouse gas from urban activity, formation of material circular oriented society, urban area for lower environmental loading and quality of life and application of information and communication technology to infrastructure are his research fields.
He served as a Vice President of Science Council of Japan during October 2014 and September 2017. He was a president of Japan Society on Water Environment and Society of Environmental Science, Japan.
