痛みは障害部位を知る警告系として最も重要な感覚であるにも拘わらず、我々は痛みを緊急時に完全に抑制することができる。モルヒネの作用部位である下行性痛覚抑制系がその鎮痛を担う。著者らは神経生理学的手法を用いてこの内因性の痛覚抑制系を解析し、意識・覚醒レベルと関係する青斑核ノルアドレナリン神経が脊髄GABAニューロンを賦活化して痛みを有効に抑制することを明らかにしてきた。本稿では兵庫医科大学、医学学術講演会にて紹介した研究成果、主に青斑核ノルアドレナリン神経を介した痛覚抑制機構と意識・覚醒レベル...
