高祖 秀登

My research focuses on identifying therapeutic targets for brain tumors, and modeling nervous system diseases in mice.

I received M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Tokyo in 2003 and 2007, respectively. While there, I studied neural stem cells in the retina, and also received clinical oncology training. I then completed postdoctoral fellowship under the mentorship of Drs. Neal Copeland and Nancy Jenkins at Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Singapore, where I started a forward genetic screen in mice to identify genes involved in brain tumor development. I joined the Institute of Medical Science, the University of Tokyo in 2011. My research focuses on identifying therapeutic targets for brain tumors, and modeling nervous system diseases in mice.
