Profile

He has been a Physical Oceanographer for a period longer than 40 years.
Since March 2015, he is the Editor-in-chief of 'Oceanography in Japan' published in Japanese by the Oceanographic Society of Japan.
He has been a member of Ocean Literacy and Education Panel, the Oceanographic Society of Japan since 2003, and acting for the ocean science communication for the public, and promoting the Ocean education in schools.
