In this note we study how the Stokes geometry of the AKT equation, which is obtained by restricting the (1,4) hypergeometric system of two variables $(x_1, x_2)$ onto $x_2 = c$, changes when the parameter $c$ changes.<br />
In particular, we show with the help of a computer that some redundant virtual turning point of the AKT equation becomes a non-redundant one when $c$ changes.
