若林 裕之

所属: 東北学院大学大学院経済学研究科。1981年北海道大学工学部電子工学科卒業。1983年同大学大学院修士課程電子工学専攻修了。博士(工学)(1996年北海道大学)。1983-2006年宇宙開発事業団(現　宇宙航空研究開発機構), 2006-2024年日本大学工学部教授, 2024年東北学院大学教授, 現在に至る。JERS-1用のデータ処理設備および検証設備の開発， 人工衛星搭載SARの概念設計，およびSARを主とするリモートセンシングデータの解析研究に従事。 多偏波SARデータの雪氷観測への応用, UAVを使用した近接リモートセンシングに興味を持つ。1991-1992年米国アラスカ大学フェアバンクス校客員研究員。2001-2003年第43次南極地域観測越冬隊員。1994年および2007年日本リモートセンシング学会論文賞。2025年日本リモートセンシング学会功績賞。電子情報通信学会, 日本リモートセンシング学会(2022-2023 会長)，日本写真測量学会，日本雪氷学会(2023-2024副会長, 2021-2024 東北支部長), IEEE等。

Hiroyuki Wakabayashi received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electronics engineering in 1981 and 1983, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in applied physics in 1996, all from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan.In 1983, he joined the National Space Development Agency of Japan (currently Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), Tokyo, Japan. He worked on data processing and Cal/Val systems for JERS-1 from 1986 to 1991 and the ALOS/PALSAR conceptual design from 1994 to 1999. He was a Research Scientist with the Earth Observation Research Center and engaged in polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) research from 1999 to 2006. From 2001 to 2003, he stayed at the Syowa Station, where he was in charge of SAR data processing and analysis for sea ice monitoring. From 2006 to 2024, he was a Professor of Computer Science with the College of Engineering, Nihon University, Koriyama, Japan. In 2024, he joined Tohoku Gakuin University, Sendai, Japan, where he is currently a Professor with the Graduate School of Economics.
Dr. Wakabayashi is a Member of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers, the Remote Sensing Society of Japan, the Japan Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, and the Japanese Society of Snow and Ice. He was a member of the 43rd Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition.
