I am working on high-energy astrophysics, mainly using radio telescopes and X-/gamma-ray astronomical satellites. To elucidate the origin of cosmic rays (a century-old mystery in modern astrophysics), I am conducting multiwavelength observational studies of "supernova remnants." This is an attempt to reveal an astronomical object from various aspects because each wavelength can trace different physical processes. In particular, my research combining radio, X-rays, and gamma-rays is attracting attention as a unique and essential approach. In our laboratory, you can proceed with astrophysical studies based on classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, and statistical mechanics and utilize astronomical datasets obtained by telescopes worldwide. Let us study together and discover new horizons in our Universe.
