Herein, we demonstrate a novel strategy of two-stage synthesis for the ZSM-5 nanoparticles that have tetrahedrally coordinated Al atoms in their framework. The particle size is significantly decreased at low temperatures during the synthesis
however, high temperatures are required for the successful incorporation of the Al atoms into the zeolite framework. Because of the rapid heating and cooling of the specially-designed tubular reactor with high thermal conductivity, suppression of the Ostwald ripening and incorporation of Al into the framework are simultaneously accomplished.
