Dr. Yoshihiro Tanaka is a cardiologist specializing electrophysiology and cardiovascular epidemiology. His interests include primary and secondary prevention of atrial fibrillation (AF), one of the most common and clinically important arrhythmias all over the world. Furthermore, his interest extends to the epidemiology of heart failure and cancer, both of which are prevalent in the ageing society like Japan.

He utilizes hospital data, Japanese-Specific health check-ups, and publicly available database such as CDC WONDER and National Health and Nutrition Survey in Japan. He also has sufficient knowledge on and experience of prospective cohort studies.

He would like to assist with research support for young researchers and energize Japan through research!
