Profile

I'm a PhD student in Human Informatics at University of Tsukuba, Japan. My research topic is to maximize human's physical and cognitive capabilities by using wearable devices for augmenting interpersonal communication. My research interests include human-computer interaction, empowered people, exoskeletons, electrical muscle stimulation, augmented reality and wearable devices. Application fields include rehabilitation, medicine, and product designing assistance.

I'm currently working on the study of 1) wearable devices that share kinesthetic experience among people based on biosignal measurement and stimulation, 2) wearable suit that can transform the wearer's embodiment into that of a child by using viewpoint translator and passive hand exoskeletons, 3) assistive toys for augmenting social interactions among hearing-impaired children, and 4) assistive exoskeletons for enhancing neurosurgical operations.

Received more than 37 awards including Microsoft Research Asia PhD Fellowship Award, Honorable Mention at ACM UIST SIC.
