金 鋼

Kang Kim received his doctoral degree in informatics from Kyoto University in 2003. During this time, he studied liquid state physics and glassy dynamics by employing molecular dynamics simulations and density functional theory. After postdoctoral work with Prof. Ryoichi Yamamoto at Kyoto University where they have developed an efficient and reliable method for simulating (electro)hydrodynamics in colloidal dispersions, he worked at Institute for Molecular Science from 2006 to 2013 as an Assistant Professor at Prof. Shinji Saito's group. He was an Associate Professor of Physics at Niigata University from 2013 to 2016. He is now an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Osaka University. His research interests are broadly related to statistical physics, complex and structured liquids, soft matter physics, and chemical physics.
