慶應義塾大学大学院政策・メディア研究科後期博士課程修了（政策・メディア博士）。専門は国際政治学、安全保障論、アジア太平洋の安全保障、日本の外交・防衛政策。タマサート大学（タイ）で客員教授、國立政治大学（台湾）で客員准教授、南洋工科大学ラジャラトナム国際研究院（シンガポール）客員研究員を歴任。政府関係の役職として、防衛省参与(2020)、国家安全保障局顧問(2018-2020)、外務省政策評価アドバイザリーグループ委員などを歴任。
