This paper discusses a characterization of finite-time stability of deterministic systems. To characterize the finite-time stability, this paper employs auxiliary functions called density functions, which is a dual notion of Lyapunov functions. We provide a sufficient condition of the existence of trajectories converging to the origin in finite time in terms of inequalities concerning density functions. We also present numerical examples of the analysis of the finite-time stability based on the presented result.
