Jun 2008   我が国およびASEAN諸国の災害救援活動の迅速性を飛躍的に向上させるリアルタイム津波被災地認定技術の開発
リアルタイム津波シミュレーション、リモートセンシング、GISという3つの先端技術を統合し、いかなる場所で巨大地震津波が発生しても、48時間以内に浸水域分布・被害建物数・予想被災者数の分布を推定し、被災地の認定を行う「津波被災地認定技術」を開発する。この技術は、我が国およびASEAN諸国における国際協力の枠組みでの災害救援・復旧活動の初動体制の迅速な確立を支援するものであり、産業技術総合研究所のIT基盤GEO Gridのマッピングインターフェース
を通じて国際社会で共有するとともに、国際災害救援活動にあたる機関が使用す
ることを前提に技術の標準化を図る。
