東京大学大学院総合文化研究科言語情報科学専攻・特任研究員（日本学術振興会特別研究員-PD）。東京外国語大学大学院総合国際学研究科博士後期課程修了、博士（学術）。元日本学術振興会特別研究員DC1、東京外国語大学非常勤講師。専攻は沖縄（日本）近現代文学、トラウマ・スタディーズ、ジェンダー／ポストコロアル批評。研究業績として、戦争、差別、暴力の記憶継承をテーマとする沖縄の作家目取真俊の小説を、ケアと環境の観点から分析した一連の論文がある。博士論文「魂落としの文学　目取真俊の小説におけるケアと環境の修復的想像力」では、これまでジェンダー／ポストコロニアル批評における抵抗の観点から読まれてきた目取真俊文学を、生存と修復の観点から再評価することで新たな作家像を提示した。現在は、主に沖縄返還後文学に描出された癒しと暴力の両義的な関係性に注目しながら、病いを条件とする生や脱健常者的な視点から沖縄文学史および日本文学史を再編成することを目指したヘルスヒューマニティーズ研究に着手している。

Project Researcher (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Research Fellow - PD) in the Department of Linguistic Information Science, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, The University of Tokyo. He completed his doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Global Studies, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, earning a doctorate (humanities). He previously served as a JSPS Research Fellow (DC1) and part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.

His research focuses on modern and contemporary Okinawan literature, trauma studies, and gender/postcolonial criticism. His notable contributions include a series of papers analyzing the works of Okinawan writer Shun Medoruma, emphasizing the inheritance of war memories, discrimination, and violence through the lenses of care and the environment. In his doctoral thesis, “Soul-Dropping (Mabui-otoshi) Literature: The Therapeutic Imagination of Care and Environment in Medoruma Shun’s Fiction”, he re-evaluates Medoruma’s literature, shifting from a resistance-based framework in gender/postcolonial criticism to themes of survival and restoration.

Currently, he is conducting research in health humanities, examining how Okinawan and Japanese literature reflect the ambivalent relationship between healing and violence after Okinawa’s reversion to Japan. His work seeks to reframe literary history through perspectives of illness-centered life and de-normative approaches, contributing to broader discussions in environmental and trauma studies.

現在の主な関心と研究内容

　私の現在の研究は、近現代沖縄文学を通じて、歴史／記憶の学術的研究とトラウマの臨床的研究との領域間に存在するギャップに取り組むものです。近現代沖縄文学は、戦争や差別、暴力といった過去の傷をどのように記憶し、それに応答してきたのかを描き出すと同時に、個人や共同体の回復や生存のプロセスをも示しています。これらの文学的表象を通じて、歴史／記憶の継承とトラウマの癒しがどのように交差し、新たな意味を生み出すのかを以下の課題設定にもとづき探求しています。

• 現代沖縄作家・又吉栄喜の作品における加害者のトラウマ化された身体を、トラウマ解離理論を通じて分析することで、文学における加害者の表象に関する未解明の研究課題に取り組みます。
• 崎山多美の作品に描かれるトラウマ化された身体をトラウマ療法の視点から探求することで、既存の研究で十分に検討されていないトラウマと回復の問題に光を当てます。
• オリエンタリズム的な沖縄表象へのこれまでの抵抗言説を踏まえた上で、健康人文学の視点を用いて、主に1972年5月の沖縄返還後から現代に至る文学作品に描かれる「癒し」のテーマを再考します。

　研究成果を集約した『沖縄文学とケア：生存・現場・修復』（仮題、作品社）が現在出版準備中であり、当該分野へのこれまでの貢献を形にする予定です。

　また、これらの分析に並行して、私の研究は、沖縄文学の視座から日本文学における近代、戦争、メディアなどに関する議論を再解釈します。また、ナラティブ・メディスン（語りの医療）にも注目し、人間の物語能力が教育や健康に果たす役割についても考えており、ヘルスヒューマニティーズの知見を国語科教育に統合することで、内省と共感を重視したクリエイティブな教育手法を確立することを目指しています。

His current research aims to address critical gaps between the academic study of history and memory and the clinical study of trauma, using modern and contemporary Okinawan literature as a lens. Okinawan literature explores how past wounds—such as war, discrimination, and violence—are remembered and responded to while also depicting the processes of recovery and survival for individuals and communities. Through these literary representations, his research investigates how historical memory and trauma healing intersect to create new meanings. For example:　

• By analyzing the traumatized bodies of perpetrators in the works of Okinawan author Matayoshi Eiki through trauma dissociation theory, he explores the underexamined representation of perpetrators in literature.
• By examining the portrayal of traumatized bodies in Sakiyama Tami’s works through the perspective of trauma therapy, his research sheds light on issues of trauma and recovery often overlooked in existing studies.
• By critically engaging with resistance discourses that challenge Orientalist representations of Okinawa—such as its depiction as a “healing island”—his work reconsiders the theme of “healing” in Okinawan literature, integrating insights from health humanities.

He is preparing for the publication of Okinawan Literature and Care: Survival, Site, Restoration (tentative title), forthcoming from Sakuhinsha, which encapsulates his ongoing contributions to the field.

Building on these analyses, his research undertakes a trans-critique, reinterpreting themes of modernity, war, and media in modern and contemporary Japanese literature through the framework of Okinawan literary studies.

In parallel, his study focuses on narrative medicine, emphasizing the role of narrative competance in medical education and exploring how health humanities can be incorporated into Japanese language education. He advocates for reflection-based teaching methods inspired by health humanities to foster critical and empathetic engagement.
