He was born in Osaka, Japan. He earned his B.Sc. from Kwansei Gakuin University in 2009, and received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Tokyo in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Kazuo Takatsuka. After researching nonadiabatic electron dynamics relevant to photocatalytic water-splitting reactions at the Fukui Institute for Fundamental Chemistry as a postdoctral fellow, he is currently exploring the application of quantum computers for quantum chemistry.
