My specialty is archival studies, with a particular focus on record management and access support for out-of-home care such as residential schools, children's homes, and adoption.
I'm also involved in collaborative research projects such as a photo preservation project related to Okinawan rituals, a post-World War II food and other aid project called LARA (Licensed Agencies for Relief in Asia), an appraisal and selection project for public documents using AI, and an archives project related to historical eugenic surgery.
As there are few people in Japan who are interested in archives, I would love to be able to exchange opinions with people who share the same interests.
