Mao Yagihashi

I specialize in clinical psychology, psychosomatic medicine, and liaison psychiatry, and conduct clinical and research work. Recent research has focused on the psychological mechanisms and support methods after accidents, disasters, and infectious diseases. My professional motto is "Contribute to the health and well-being of people by using psychology". I consider a wide range of "people" as my research target, from the healthy to the sick. While working at a university hospital, I participated as a fellow in the Japan Biodesign Program, a human resource development program for the development of medical devices, therefore I am also interested in industry-academia collaboration and the social implementation of psychological research.
