<p>In this paper, attenuation coefficients of the leaky T(0,1) mode guided wave propagating in piping buried in the petrolatum-type anticorrosion grease were measured as functions of pipe dimension and temperature. It was confirmed that the experimental results agreed well with the theoretically deduced attenuation coefficients. The theory of the leaky T(0,1) mode guided wave and experimental details were shown.</p>
