Profile

Born at Awaji island in 1955, graduated at Sumoto Highschool, at Kyoto Univ. Master and PhD degree were given at Kyoto Univ. After JSPS Postdoc, research assoc. and associated Prof. at Kyoto Univ. After postdoc study at ETH-Zurich for 2 years, assoc Prof at Energy Science of Kyoto Univ. Since 2006 working as full Prof. at eco-processing lab of Hokkaido Univ. Based on thermodynamics at high temp., synthesis of non-equilibrium phases, phase equilibrium, material processing at low oxygen pressure were studied. So-called OS process was developed to apply the oxide reduction. Currently engrossed to convert solar light to thermoelectricity and CO2 gas decomposition using molten salt.
