差異や差別の歴史を踏まえながら普遍性や共生の可能性／困難性について理論的に考えています。これまでは主に、1990年度以降のコスモポリタニズムの議論について理論的に検討してきました。現在は、社会学理論の脱植民地化についても取り組んでいます。

I hold a double PhD in Sociology from the University of South Australia and Keio University, where I graduated as the program's first recipient in 2020. Currently, I am based in Tokyo, Japan.

My research specializes in sociological theory, with a focus on cosmopolitanism, globalization, and diversity. I am particularly interested in exploring universality in a way that critically considers historical contexts of discrimination and marginalization. Additionally, I am engaged in efforts to decolonize sociological theories from Japanese perspective.
