Alongside her work in music, Dr. Mine has begun to study African-American literature. In Slave Testimonies (Seikyusha, 2018), she explores the relationship between slaves’ voices and African-American literature. She is a member of the Japan Writer’s Association. In Vietnam, she led classes on English and American Culture at the Viet Nhat College of Language and Technology (Hanoi), and she currently is a Lecturer at Chuogakuin University.
