異なる熱処理を施したチタン合金を用いて,超高サイクル域までの軸荷重疲労試験を実施した.そして,組織の違いが疲労強度特性に与える影響について検討した.疲労試験の結果,時間強度は粒径の小さい方が高くなった.その傾向は内部破壊が生じる超高サイクル域で明瞭に見られた.また,内部破壊の結果から初期き裂の小さい方が低い疲労き裂進展下限界値ΔK_<th>を示すことが明らかになった.このことは材料内部においてΔK_<th>は寸法依存性を有することを示している.
