In this paper, we present a multiobjective optimization approach for force design of tensegrity structures, where their geometries are assumed to be determined a priori; we search for the optimal distribution of member forces that leads to the maximum stifftiess, and that is closest to the target values assigned by the designers as well. The Pareto optimal solutions of the problem are presented for a tensegrity grid as an example to demonstrate the methodology.
