In order to predict a mooring force on a floating body numerically, an accurate evaluation of a hydrodynamic force acting on a floating body is important. Weak points in a standard particle method on pressure fluctuation are being overcome by applying improved models developed these days. In this study, the validity of an improved MPS method is investigated in a numerical simulation on a moored floating body in a wave.
