The paper presents a Corrected Incompressible SPH (CISPH) method for accurate water-surface-tracking in plunging breakers. Corrective terms are derived on the basis of a variational approach to ensure the angular momentum conservation of original Incompressible SPH (ISPH) formulations. Both CISPH and ISPH methods are applied to simulate the breaking and post-breaking of plunging breakers on a plane slope. The enhanced performance of CISPH is shown by both qualitative and quantitative comparisons with experimental data.
