Array Source Excitation Synthesis Using Approach of MIMO Maximum Power Transfer Efficiency

The maximum power transfer efficiency between multiple transmitting antennas and receiving antennas (MIMO) has been formulated by using eigenvalues of the matrix based on either Z matrix or S matrix [1]. The optimiz able distribution of excitations for each element antenna of the transmitting array can be determined by an eigenvalue equation derived from the Rayleigh quotient for the power transmission efficiency. Now, in this paper, the method is applied to design the optimal excitations of transmitting array antenna to direct the maximum radiation to the desired direction. Moreover, the radiation patterns used different optimal excitations which correspond with the separation distance between the receiving and transmitting antenna are compared.
