新しく考案した演算器等を時分割で使用するマイクロ・パイプライン方式並列処理計算機の可能性を探した。短語長8ビットの演算器やレジスタで、長語長32ビットの命令(一語長とする)を処理方式を提案し、1個のハードウエアで、4個の命令を同時に並列処理ができるマイクロ・パイプライン方式並列処理装置の概念設計を行った。さらに、実際にマイクロパイプライン処理装置のプロトタイプモデルプリント基板を設計、作製して、動作を検証した。

本研究は、ニューロン回路をハードウエアで実現することを目的としている。従来計算機で使われていた電流切り換えスイッチに着目し、可変重み回路、多しきい値回路を組み合わせた多しきい値ニューロ回路を設計・作製し、その動作を確認した。その結果、ニューロン回路として作動する見通しがついた。

従来、パイプライン方式処理装置は想像だけ提案されていたが、この方式を活かす計算機ハードウェアの構成方法は十分に検討されなかった。本研究では語長32ビットのデータを語長8ビットに4ステージのレジスタに分けて、8ビットの演算器で計算し、一つのハードウェアで4並列命令を処理できる16ステージからなる処理装置を新しく提案した。論理を検討し、VHDLハヒドウェア記述方法によって本提案のマイクロパイプライン処理装置に対して検討を進めたので報告する。
