Profile

Kazuo Ogura received the B.S. degree in physics from Okayama University, Okayama, Japan, in 1981, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, in 1983 and 1989, respectively. He is currently a Professor with the Electrical and Electronics, Information and Communication Engineering Program, Niigata University, Niigata, Japan. His professional expertise includes high-power electromagnetic wave sources, plasma applications, pulsed power technologies, and terahertz wave technologies. The electromagnetic wave sources and technologies up to millimeter and submillimeter waves or terahertz waves are developed. Electron beam sources based on compact pulsed power technologies and electric power engineering are also included.
