[Research and Development of Bio Innovative Design Technology] Biology that has the adaptability and robustness in nature is very attractive to design, but the design is rarely used in mechanical design. In this project, a new design technology called “Bio Innovative Design Technology” is developed. “Bio Innovative Design Technology (BIDT)”, which basic idea could be inspired from biology, is developed. Our proposed technology consists of the following three topics: Topic 1: Construction of design data-base with morphogenesis in biology / Topic 2: Development of bio-inspired optimization and robust design optimization techniques / Topic 3: Development of braiding production technology combining Topics 1 and 2. Above three topics are integrated as design and production technology.
