The paper presents the development of the magnetic fluid hyperthermia cancer therapy based on induction heating and the methodology that can be used to determine a temperature rise in cancerous tissues with regards to the volume of injected magnetite into cancer or tumour. The experimental results and presented methodology have demonstrated that the developed formula for temperature increase, based on SAR (Specific Absorption Rate), as a factor of temperature distribution, and on magnetite heat capacity, is suitable for estimating the temperature rise in cancer or tumour. The experiments were conducted on female breast phantom.
