音声認識の分野において,口形の画像を用いて音声認識を行う研究が報告されている.画像(視覚情報)は騒音の影響を受けないという利点があり,騒音環境下における認識精度の向上に有効であると考えられる.我々も,視覚情報と聴覚情報を併用した視聴覚融合による音声認識手法について既に報告を行った.本稿では,前回報告時よりも画像の品質を向上(フルフレーム・カラー画像化)することにより,認識率の向上を図る.また,カラー情報を利用した口形特徴量の抽出についても言及する.

近年,自由発話音声を対象とした音声認識が注目されている.一方,従来からの朗読音声を対象とした音声認識に関する研究においては,多くの成果・実績が得られている.これらの朗読音声を対象とした音声認識手法を自由発話音声にも適用するためには,自由発話音声中に含まれ冗長語を事前に除去する必要がある.そこで本稿では,音声中の無音区間に着目して冗長語の除去を行なう手法を提案する.
