To investigate the cause of white defects in a CCD camera on board the MIR Space Station we exposed test samples of CCD to several kinds of ion beams from the SF cyclotron at the INS. We also designed test stacks of CCDs sandwiched between sheets of CR-39 and exposed them to the radiation in the MIR space station.
