The infrared emission spectrum of DELTA-upsilon = 1 bands of GaF has been observed at 1000-degrees-C with a resolution of 0.1 cm-1. The upsilon = 1-0 to 5-4 vibration-rotation bands of 69GaF and the upsilon = 1-0 to 4-3 bands of 71GaF were assigned in the wavenumber range between 500 and 645 cm-1. The analysis has led to a set of values of eight Dunham coefficients, Y10, Y20, Y30, Y01, Y11, Y21, Y02 and Y12 of 69GaF. Y10 and Y20 were determined to be 622.367(11) and -3.3049(42) cm-1, respectively, with twice the standard errors in parentheses. The infrared diode- laser spectrum of GaF has also been observed and the assignment of some spectral lines is shown.
