Rotational emission spectra of HC1 and DC1 were observed with a Fourier transform spectrometer. A data set of 103 newlyobserved rotational lines, combined with the rotational and vibrational-rotational lines reported in the literature, was analyzed by fitting the data to a non-Born-Oppenheimer effective Hamiltonian expressed with the optimal parameters, i.e., the determinable clusters of expansion coefficients [H. Uehara, Bull. Chem. Soc. Jpn. 77 (2004) 2189]. Full internal consistency of the results of this analysis demonstrates the validity of the present universal scheme for determination of the physically significant parameters defined by the effective Hamiltonian.
