We investigated the methods of visual correction by Rugby players. The subjects were college students belonging to a Rugby club. The total number of respondents was 53 and the numher whose vision was usually corrected was 40 (75.5%; 40/53). Of the 40, the number whose vision was corrected during Rugby games was 37 (92.5%; 37/40). When playing Rugby, 18 used soft contact lenses, 18 used disposable soft contact lenses, and only 1 used hard contact lenses. The results suggest that suitable visual correction methods for Rugby players are soft contact lenses and disposable soft contact lenses.
