表面プラズモン共鳴現象(SPR)を用いたバイオセンシングは,ガラス基板上に形成した金薄膜上に物質の特異的結合反応を生じさせ,その金薄膜近傍の誘電率を変化させて,分子間相互作用を解析するものである。<BR> SPRの感度は基板の表面構造に敏感である。本研究では,バイオセンシングに用いられるガラス基板と同等の屈折率を有し、ステツプ/テラス構造を制御したサファイア基板について、SPRバイオセンサへの応用を報告する。
