透過電子顕微鏡(TEM)を用いた3次元微細構造観察法である電子線トモグラフィーは,当初,触媒等のナノ材料への適用が主であったが,最近ではバルク結晶内部の格子欠陥,例えば金属や半導体中の転位(線状欠陥)をナノスケールで3次元可視化することが可能となってきている.本講演では,こうした結晶格子欠陥の電子線トモグラフィー観察技術の最新動向と,材料研究への応用例を紹介しつつ,今後の展望を述べる.
