『生物の不思議を工学技術に移転する』をキャッチフレーズに、高効率で高性能なセンサおよび運動素子(アクチュエータ)を開発しています。最近は高校の英語の教科書でも「Nature technology」という単元があり、自然界に存在する技術やシステムを利用するという発想が多くの人に理解され始めています。生物の問題解決法に学び、その仕組みを40の原理に体系化することで、これまでにない医工材料を開発しています。現在は、工学者のために技術課題を生物の仕組みで解決できるデータベース(バイオTRIZデータベース)も世界に先駆けて、構築しています。
