The string gravity meter has so far been used as a gravity sensor of the “Tokyo Surface Ship Gravity meter”. This paper summarizes the results of laboratory experiment on the stability of the sensor, and it is expected that the sensor can be used for the measurement of the earth tide if the problem of temperature regulation and external vibration is solved. © 1983, The Geodetic Society of Japan.
