Mitsuko Seki, D.D.S., Ph.D., completed her D.D.S. and Ph.D. degrees at Nihon University, Tokyo, Japan, and worked as a Postdoctoral fellow and a Research Scientist in the same University. She has served as a guest researcher at the Medical Microbiology and Immunology, University of Aarhus, Aarhus, Denmark, and a guest researcher of Industrial Research Institute of Shizuoka Prefecture. From 2012 to 2014, she has served as an invited expert for research programs, FP7 & FP8 (Horizon 2020), European Union. Over the past 20 years of full-time research, she has studied about “Oral Bacteriology”, “Oral Diseases”, “Infectious Diseases and Prevention”, and “Biofilm”. For a decade, her research is highly focused on point-of-care diagnostics using molecular detection of microbiological pathogens, bacterial meningitis and multi drag resistance (Gram negative and TB) as well as viral infections.
