Profile

Yoshiyuki Suda was born in Japan, in 1971. He received the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic information engineering from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, in 1997 and 2006, respectively. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Information Engineering, Toyohashi University of Technology, Toyohasi, Japan.
Dr. Suda mainly studies 1) synthesis and application of carbon nanomaterials such as carbon nanocoil and 2) basis examination and application using atmospheric pressure plasma.
Dr. Suda has published research papers on measuring physical properties of single nanoparticles using focused ion beam (FIB) technique, developing energy devices such as fuel cells and electric double layer capacitors, developing electromagnetic wave absorbers and field electron emitters, influence of atmospheric pressure plasma on biological model substance, modeling of carbon nanotube growth based on plasma analysis, synthesis of carbon nanomaterials by laser ablation and behavior of cryogenic liquid under microgravity environment.
Dr. Suda is a member of The Japan Society of Applied Physics, The Fullerenes, Nanotubes and Graphene Research Society, The IEE of Japan and The Electrochemical Society of Japan.
