生まれと育ちは岡山県岡山市。岡山朝日高校出身。岡山大学にて学位所得後、任期付き助手として５年間勤務。その後ポスドクとしてチューリッヒ工科大、日本原子力機構を経て、現在、大阪府立大学テニュア・トラック講師。研究分野は物性理論・超伝導現象論で、特に、超伝導体中の渦糸コアにまつわる現象について研究しています。タイプ別性格判断では、ＩＳＦＰ型。あと、いわゆる“二次元オタク”です。
