Career

 
Shunichiro Egami was born in Fukuoka, Japan on September 5,1941. He received B.S., M.S. and Dr. of Engineering degree from Kyushu University in 1964, 1966 and 1975 respectively. From 1966 to 1986 he was with the Electrical Communications Laboratories, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone, where he engaged in Ka-band and mobile satellite systems development. From 1986 to 1997 he was with Mitsubishi Electric, where he engaged in satellite systems development. Since 1997, he has been a professor with the faculty of Engineering, Shizuoka University.
