I am a color theorist specializing in researching color order systems and charts to classify plants, animals, and color materials. My research interests include color science, design, and the digital humanities. I have published articles and books exploring the intersection of nationalism, industrialization, and color science and its communication.

I study industrial standards, color order systems, landscape design, color terms, linguistic anthropology, media, and the impact of lighting and color charts. I have written books and articles on color science, communication development, nationalism (and internationalism), and the relationship between color and the senses.

Apart from my research, I work as a translator of scholarly books and aim to preserve and digitally archive primary source material in color theory. As part of my visual culture studies, I teach digital art and video production and share my knowledge and passion for color science with my students.
