本研究は、層流燃焼速度を揃えた水素-酸素-希釈ガス混合気を用いて、定容燃焼器内に火炎半径5mm以下の微小球状伝ぱ層流火炎を作成し基礎燃焼特性を検討する。ここでは、希釈ガスに一般的な窒素に加え、アルゴンおよび二酸化炭素を対象とする。各混合気が有する最小点火エネルギー近傍で形成された微小球状伝ぱ層流火炎をシュリーレン法により観測する。火炎半径および伸長が、火炎面の平均燃焼速度に与える影響を定量的に明らかにする。
