Apr 2002   常温圧縮せん断による結晶粒微細固化成形法
料の強度を向上させるために結晶粒径をナノサイズまで微細化させる成形方法として,圧縮せん断成形方法を考案した.-この方法を用いることにより,酸化皮膜が強固であるため固化成形が困難とされているアルミニウム粉末に対して,従来の固化方法ではまったく不可能であった常温及び大気雰囲気中で圧縮せん断により微細な結晶粒径かつ結晶方向が配向している薄板形状の試験片を作製することが可能となった.

Oct 2005   クラスターダイヤモンド及びガラス状炭素複合材料を利用した固体潤滑複合材料の開発
摩擦の問題は、機械の性能や寿命、エネルギー効率に対し著しく影響を及ぼすため、長年問題視され続けている。粒径がnmサイズのダイヤモンド微結晶で構成されるクラスタダイヤモンドならびにガラス状炭素は、優れた潤滑性等の性質を示し、新しい固体潤滑材料として様々な分野での応用が期待されている。
本事業では機械摺動部分に機能層を有する軸受け、歯車を開発することを目的として、クラスタダイヤモンド及びガラス状炭素の分散化技術の開発を行う。
Apr 2012   強磁性形状記憶薄膜を用いたアクチュエータデバイスの開発
強磁性形状記憶薄膜開発および微視的物性評価手法とカールスルーエ工科大学の研究グループの持つ薄膜微細加工・アクチュエータ設計に関する技術と組み合わせることにより省エネルギー性に優れた多機能マイクロアクチュエータの開発を行う.
Oct 2005   機能性薄膜を用いたマイクロアクチュエータ・センサの開発
モスクワ大学の薄膜物性研究グループ,ロシア科学アカデミーの磁性材料研究グループの持つ温度感受性や磁気感受性,応力感受性をもつ機能性材料に関する技術と微視的物性評価手法と組み合わせることにより耐摩擦性,耐磨耗性,生体適合性に優れたマイクロアクチュエータ・センサの開発を行う.
