Profile

I graduated from a medical school and trained for ~10 years as a physician. Then I started a carrier as molecular biologist and joined a lab in the US. After I returned to Japan I moved to Kyoto University and since then I have been in the field of DNA repair, damage response and homologous recombination. I worked as a professor in three different Japanese universities so far. I would like to elucidate disease mechanisms in cancer and hereditary disorders.
