Profile

NAKANO Satoshi is Professor of History at Graduate School of Social Sciences, Hitotsubashi University. He received his Ph.D. from Hitotsubashi University and has published numerous articles on the Philippine-U.S. colonial/postcolonial relations, Japanese Occupation of the Philippines, war memories, and the Filipino World War II veteran's equity movement.
Formerly he served as Assistant and Associate professor at Kobe University and he also was a visiting scholar at University of the Philippines (1994-1995 / Ministry of Education Program), Columbia University (2005-2006 / Abe Fellowship Program), and George Washington University (2013-2014 / Fulbright Visitng Scholar Program). Currently, he serves as Vice President for International Affairs, Public Relations and Oureach of Hitotsubashi University.
