My primary research goal is the development of a cognitive psychological theory of thinking, language and culture, namely, the process of critical thinking and the cultural differences. More recently, I also investigate cultural difference of nostalgia, regret and happiness in decision making.

共感覚的比喩(五感や認知機能を代表する名詞(9個)と形容語(10個)、擬態語(2個)、動詞(5個)を組み合わせた共感覚比喩(例:甘い音、きらきらした音、音を味わう)を構成し、1060人の市民が、理解容易性および、快不快、強弱の評定を5段階で評定した。その結果、形容語、動詞、擬態語のそれぞれにおいて、低次から高次の感覚への修飾方向性と、各モダリティにおける共通の意味構造が見いだされた。<br>
